THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL MOVIE SUMMARY / SYNOPSIS

Let me just give you a little information about this movie. Astronomers have spotted an object beyond Jupiter. And then they later found out that this object was not following a free fall trajectory. In a 1951 film, Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) and his big counterpart indestructible robot named Gort lands in a certain place in Washington D.C. Klaatu stepped out but was shot by a soldier. Gort then melted the soldiers weapons but Klaatu ordered Gort to stop. He then taken by the soldiers in a hospital. He escaped from the hospital and further investigate the Earth. He then met Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) and her son Bob.
Helen takes Klaatu on a tour and they stopped at the Lincoln’s Memorial. He then realized that the Earth still has hope. So what is he talking about? You know Gort and Klaatu were designed to maintain peace on the galaxy but has the power to destroy if provoke. So that’s the main idea. Now, since US military is already suspecting that his an alien, they killed him. But before he died he told Helen this phrase: “Klaatu barada nikto”. So what’s that? Ok let me give you a hint, “Klaatu” and “none”. Those two words will help you determined about that phrase. And Helen should tell Gort about this phrase.
