WHO IS JUAN MANUEL LOPEZ?

Juan Manuel Lopez is a 25-year old Puerto Rican boxer is the current WBO Super Bantamweight Champion and this fight with Figueroa will be his first title defense. Lopez is called “Juanma” having a total of 22 boxing fights with no defeats and 22 wins by KO. He became more popular when he defeated the great Daniel Ponce De Leon last June 7, 2008 by a shocking KO in Round 1.

WHO IS CESAR FIGUEROA?

Cesar Figueroa Hernandez is a 30-year old Mexican boxer who will challenge Lopez on Saturday. He has 38 boxing fights enough to be said a veteran fighter with 30 wins 22 by KO, 6 losts,  and 2 draws. He started his boxing career way back October 2, 1996 with his first opponent Francisco Mateos. This fight with Mateos, which was held at the Ocotlan, Jalisco Mexico, is a draw.

Juan Manuel Lopez still undefeated after knocking out the Mexican Challenger Cesar Figueroa. This was a tremendous win because Figueroa was knocked out 47 seconds of Round 1. Lopez made another KO which he did on his last fight with de Leon. If you will remember Juanma had said to the news that he will not let Figueroa see the 6th round and he really make it happen. Juanma really wants to have an impressive boxing record and will see more of him on his next fights.
