Error codes in installing drivers

Code 28 = No driver installed yet.

Code 10,Code 1 = the user tries to install the driver but was not totally finished.

 

What to do with Error Codes?

Code 28 = Reinstall driver

Code 10 = Click update driver

 

HOW TO CHECK IF DRIVER IS PROPERLY INSTALLED?

 

1. Right click “My Computer” icon on your computer.

 

2. Select “Properties.”

 

3. Click “Hardware” tab.

 

4. Click “Device Manager.”

 

5. Click “Network Adapters” on the list.

 

6. If the network adapter icon is colored green, it means that the device/driver is properly installed.

 

7. If the network adapter icon has red “X” mark on it, that means the device is disabled. If it is disabled, just right click it and select “Enable.”

 

8. If the network adapter icon has exclamation mark (”!”) on it, it means the driver was not installed properly. Look for the error code. Right click the device and select “Properties.” Under “General” tab, you will see the “Device Status.” On the “Device Status”, you will see the code.

 

9. If you don’t see the device or adapter under “Network Adapter“, look for “Other Devices” or Ethernet Controller, “Network Controller” or “USB Device. You will see yellow question mark (”?”) on the icon. That means that the drive was not installed .try to uninstall it first and reinstall it.
